How to wash and take care of your silk clothing and silk scarf?

Silk is a very delicate material, so you have got to wash any silk clothing you own with care. Even though some brands attach the care tag with recommendation of “Dry clean only” , you can still wash your silk clothing if you follow the appropriate methods at home. 

• Firstly, please remember that” silk is just like our skin”

• Use warm water below 30 degrees when washing.

• Use mild, non-alkali detergent like baby shampoo or detergent specifically designed to wash silk. Do not wash with alkaline detergent or soap.

• Do not soak it in water for long time and do not use washing machine, hand wash it gently.

• Hang in a cool, ventilated place to dry, do not expose to the sun.

• When ironing, better iron it during 70% dry, keep the ironing temperature below 150 degree and do not suggest to touch the silk surface directly.
